On September 5, 2009, Dar Asim Orphanage also called Mahad Wihda Hayya Uthman Al-Khurasie, located at Federville Malagapas, Cotabato City, was provided with Iftar and Sahoor. 36 orphans and their teachers benefited.
Dar Asim is one of the 11 orphanages in Central Mindanao surveyed by ACT Malaysia on June, 2009. It accommodates 48 orphans and has 12 employees. From the survey, the needs identified are:
• Mattresses
• Running water
• Water purification device
• Proper kitchen and mess hall
• Books, clothes and toiletries for orphans
• Proper salary for teachers
• Balanced meal
