On September 11, 2009, 35 orphans and their teachers from Dar Al-Muhsineen located at Alongan, Sulon, Sultan Mastura, Mindanao were provided iftar and sahoor with cash donation sponsored by a lecturer from UPM, Malaysia.
Except during fasting month when some orphans spend it with their relatives, Dar Al-Muhsineen shelters 50 orphans (boys and girls). This orphanage is among the 11 surveyed by ACT Malaysia on June 2009. The needs identified by the survey are as follows. Please contact sister Kurais of ACT Malaysia.

• Water purification device
• Mattresses/beddings
• Proper salary for teachers
• Balanced meal
• Tables and chairs for dining and for classroom
